A Black Friday price cuts what you pay today. It does not touch a monthly or yearly membership. Below is what the best-known rings and bands cost over two years at full UK price, checked on each brand's own site, next to PulseRing Pro at £89 with no subscription. Where the expensive ones do more, we say so.
Two-year cost, full price
Upfront price plus 24 months of any membership, at full UK price before any offer. Set a deal against these totals, not against the headline discount.
| Two years, total | Upfront | Ongoing | |
|---|---|---|---|
| PulseRing Pro | £89 | £89 | None |
| Oura Ring 5 | £536.77 to £538.98 | From £399 | £5.99 a month or £69.99 a year |
| WHOOP One | £338 | Included in membership | £169 a year |
| WHOOP Peak | £458 | Included in membership | £229 a year |
| Ultrahuman Ring AIR | £329 | £329 | None |
| Prices checked on 13 October 2026 on the UK pages of ouraring.com, whoop.com and ultrahuman.com. Oura's monthly total allows for its free first month for new members. WHOOP Life is £349 a year. On the day we checked, Ultrahuman was showing Ring AIR at £246.75 and Oura was selling the older Oura Ring 4 from £244.30. Prices change, especially in November, so check before you buy. | |||
How to read a Black Friday deal
A lower ring price leaves the membership where it was. Take the deal price, add 24 months of membership, then compare totals, not headlines.
The deepest cuts are often on an older model. That can be a good buy, as long as you know which generation you are getting.
Rings need a sizing step. Oura and Ultrahuman both offer sizing kits. Ours is a £6.99 tape, refunded against your ring, and every ring order includes one free size exchange.
Ours runs for 30 days from delivery, not from the day the box is opened, so a ring bought in November for Christmas has less time than it looks.
Temperature trends, cycle insights and coaching are real reasons to pay more. If you will not use them, they are an expensive way to see your sleep.
Where they are better
Oura, WHOOP and Ultrahuman read skin temperature overnight, which helps show changes from your normal. PulseRing Pro has no temperature sensor.
Oura offers cycle insights with its membership, and WHOOP has Women's Hormonal Insights. PulseRing Pro does not track the menstrual cycle.
Oura and WHOOP build guidance features into their apps and keep adding to them; that is part of what the membership pays for. PulseRing Pro gives one readiness score and one call.
WHOOP tracks strain, heart rate zones and VO2 max. PulseRing Pro has no GPS and no live heart rate zones; it is built for the night and the morning call.
Oura and WHOOP publish research on their sensors. We do not publish accuracy figures for PulseRing Pro, and we would rather say so than guess.
What £89 buys
Heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen and sleep stages, from optical sensors on the inside of a titanium ring of about 4 grams.
After about two weeks it knows your normal, then gives a readiness score and one call: push, maintain or rest.
Rated 5ATM, so it can stay on in the shower and the pool, with up to 7 days per charge.
No membership and no tiers. Every metric is included. Over two years that is £89, and in year five it is still £89.
Anyone who wants temperature, cycle tracking, ECG or GPS, or a device to check a health condition. It is a wellness device, not a medical one. Our smart rings page compares the options in more detail.
Oura rings have been discounted in past Black Friday sales, as UK press coverage from November 2025 shows. Whether that happens this year is Oura's decision, so check ouraring.com. Either way the membership is a separate cost: £5.99 a month or £69.99 a year in the UK when we checked on 13 October 2026.
Only WHOOP can say what it will offer. At full price, WHOOP memberships start at £169 a year with the device included, so two years cost from £338 (checked 13 October 2026).
Yes. PulseRing Pro is £89 with no subscription, and Ultrahuman says Ring AIR has no recurring fees at £329. Oura charges a membership for full insights, and WHOOP sells its band as a membership.
It is if it does what you need. PulseRing Pro reads heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen and sleep stages and gives one call each morning. It does not read temperature or track your cycle, and it is not a medical device. If those features matter to you, a membership ring buys something real.
Upfront price plus 24 months of membership at full UK price. Oura monthly: £399 plus 23 paid months at £5.99, as new members get the first month free, which is £536.77. Oura yearly: £399 plus two years at £69.99, which is £538.98. WHOOP: two years of membership, device included. Ultrahuman Ring AIR and PulseRing Pro: the ring price only.
A ring is small and easy to sleep in, so it suits sleep and recovery. A band such as WHOOP suits people who want strain and live training data. Our smart ring versus smartwatch guide covers the trade-offs.
Yes, but check how the returns window is timed. Ours runs for 30 days from delivery, and the one free size exchange has to be asked for in that time. UK delivery is free on every order and averages 4 to 7 days.
PulseRing Pro is £89 once, with no subscription. Free UK delivery, free worldwide over £80, 30-day returns, one free size exchange and a 12-month warranty.
