The awkward spot
The tightest spot is usually the one you cannot reach.
Between the shoulder blades. Along either side of the spine. Deep in the glutes after a heavy leg day. Hands give up, a foam roller spreads the pressure too wide to find it, and a tennis ball rolls off course the moment you lean in, often onto the spine itself.
- 01
The spot
Two long muscles run either side of your spine.
- 02
The catch
A single ball lands on the bone between them.
- 03
The shape
Two spheres and a gap. Your spine sits in the gap.
- 04
The result
Firm, even pressure on both sides at once.
Why the shape matters
Two points of pressure. A gap for your spine.
Choose a tool to see where it presses.
One point of contact. Good for a single spot, but along the back it tends to drift onto the spine. Contact right across the back. Good for broad areas, too wide to find one tight point. Contact either side of the spine, with the groove clearing the bone between. The pressure stays on the muscle.
How it is made
Every part has a job.
- Groove
Central groove
Sits over the spine, so neither sphere presses on bone.
- Surface
Textured silicone nodes
Grip the muscle rather than sliding across it.
- Core
Vibration core
Three intensities and an automatic mode that varies the rhythm for you.
- Power
Charging port
Charges by USB cable (included). No cable while you use it.
Built for the parts of your back you cannot see.
- 01
Both sides, at once.
Lie on it along the upper back and each sphere works one side of the spine. Every slow pass covers both muscles, with nothing pressing on the bone.
- 02
Pressure you can dial down.
Three intensities sit on top of the pressure, plus an automatic mode that varies the rhythm for you. Start low on a tender spot, or leave it off and use it as a firm ball.
- 03
One sphere for smaller spots.
Turn it on its side and a single sphere works the calf, the sole of the foot, or a forearm after a day of heavy grip work.
- 04
Goes where the roller does not.
About 17 cm end to end: small enough for a kit bag, a desk drawer or hand luggage. It switches itself off after 12 minutes, which is about as long as a session needs to be.
Ten minutes, wherever it shows up
It fits into the gaps you already have.
- 07:10 · Before training
Two slow passes along the upper back on the bedroom floor while the kettle boils. Lowest level, just enough to wake the area up.
- 13:30 · Desk break
Back to a wall, one sphere either side of the spine between the shoulder blades, and lean in. No mat, no changing.
- 18:45 · After the session
Calves, then glutes, one sphere at a time. A level higher for whatever the session left behind.
- 21:30 · Before bed
Lying on the groove, knees bent, breathing slowly. Vibration off, lights low.
How to use it
Place it. Pick a level. Go slowly.
- 01
Place it.
Groove under the spine for the upper and mid back. One sphere under the muscle for legs, glutes, feet and shoulders.
- 02
Pick a level.
Press the button to switch on and move through the three intensities and the automatic mode. Start on the lowest.
- 03
Go slowly.
Move a few centimetres at a time. When you find a tight spot, pause and breathe for 30 to 60 seconds, then move on. Firm is right. Sharp means move off.
“Will it hurt?”
It should feel firm, never sharp, and you decide how firm. Lie flat for the most pressure, take weight onto your hands and feet for less, or stand against a wall for the gentlest option. Vibration is set separately and starts at the lowest level.
If a spot is still too much, move a few centimetres to the side and come back to it later.
Before you start
Do not use it on an injury, bruising, broken skin, varicose veins or directly on bone. Keep it away from the front and sides of the neck. If you are pregnant, have a medical condition, have an implanted device such as a pacemaker, or have any doubt, check with your GP or physiotherapist first. Peak Peanut Pro is a massage tool for comfort and relaxation, not a medical device.
An honest comparison
Why not just use a tennis ball?
A tennis ball is a fine tool for one spot. The difference shows up along the spine.

For PulseRing Pro owners
Your ring says rest. This gives rest something to do.
PulseRing Pro scores your readiness every morning. On the days it tells you to hold back, Peak Peanut Pro is ten minutes on the floor instead of the sofa. Both come together, with the Charging Case and Ring Protector, in the Total Recovery System.

Questions, answered
01How long does the battery last, and how do I charge it?
It charges from any USB plug or port using the cable in the box. Each session switches off automatically after 12 minutes.
02Can I use it without the vibration?
Yes. Switched off, it works as a firm peanut ball, which many people prefer for slow work before bed.
03How firm is it?
Firm silicone over a hard core, with textured nodes for grip. You control the pressure with your body weight: lie flat for more, take weight onto your hands and feet for less.
04Can I use it on my neck?
On the muscles at the base of the neck and across the tops of the shoulders, yes: gently, with the groove over the spine and your head supported. Never on the front or sides of the neck.
05Is it suitable for everyone?
Not quite. Skip it on injuries, bruising or broken skin, and check with your GP or physiotherapist first if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or an implanted device such as a pacemaker.
06What if it is not for me?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it. Change-of-mind returns pay their own postage; faulty items are replaced free.
The knot between your shoulder blades has had long enough.
